Private 1-Day Forest Exploration & Spicebush Workshop in Hinohara Village

Tour Date: 21 May (Tuesday), 12 June (Wednesday) 2024

Spicebush is a representative aromatic tree of Japan smelling distinctively a sweet, spicy, and refreshing scent. It is traditionally used in making toothpicks and more recently used in extracting aromatic essential oils. Also, the trunk and branches are used as an herbal medicine called "Ushou" from the old time.

This experience takes you to the only remaining village in Tokyo where you can explore the natural forest and come across the wild spicebush. You can even make your own unique souvenirs using the spicebush as a memento. It's a hidden gem waiting to be discovered!
